After starting out at the Ritz in London, among chandeliers and celebrities, then gaining valuable experience in Switzerland, he was ready to return to the country of his birth.
La Terrazza, at the Hotel Splendido, has been Luca’s domain for the past 16 years. He has a passion for gastronomy and the grape, and is a mine of information on wine history.
Why does he love Splendido life? Portofino, he says, is pure Italian glamour and attracts the most interesting international personalities. He loves to discuss local food and wine and to share other fascinating aspects of his homeland.
