April - St. Giorgio Feast
Bonfire of St. Giorgio in the Piazzetta of Portofino
The bonfire celebrates the Holy Patron Saint of Portofino. According to the legend, it will be a lucky year if the burning highest log will bend towards the sea. At midnight local fishermen offer grilled fish to everyone.

May - Portofino Rolex Trophy
International Regatta for J Class, 12m, 8m and Dragoni, in Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure.

May - Camogli Fish Festival
This feast is in honour of St. Fruttuoso, and the habitants of Camogli organise an enormous fish feast. A 1500 pound frying pan is put in the harbour, cooking a ton of fish, enough to feed the entire town and the numerous visitors.

Hans Christian Andersen Festival - end of May
43rd Andersen Bay of Fairy tales Award
Each year Sestri Levante awards the Anderson Prize to the best children's book writer, in honor of the legendary fairy tale master.

Mid-Summer Cocktail - 15 August
In commemoration of the Assumption Day
The cocktail is served from 7pm on the breathtaking Bar Terrace at Hotel Splendido and kindly offered by the Management. All ladies will be given a rose as small
present.

September - Recco "Sagra del Fuoco" (Fire Feast)
Admire fantastic fireworks displays in this competition between the seven districts of Recco, which hire the best fireworks masters for the occasion. 

October - 50th International Boat Show
This huge event takes place in Genoa, a must for boat lovers, with exhibition, events and show taking place in nine days.

80th International Alba White Truffle Festival - each weekend in October
A short drive from Portofino, Alba Truffle Festival features the world's largest truffle auction and market amid a vibrant festival atmosphere, where all sorts of truffle-related goods are on sale.
