Roberto Villa is the passionate Chef de Cuisine at Splendido Mare. He started his career working in the kitchens of the most prestigious cruise ships in the Mediterranean, and eventually docked in Liguria. He fell in love with this land, enchanted by the sea, climate, perfumes and excellent products that this region offers.
He's headed the kitchen brigade of the Chuflay Bar & Restaurant at Splendido Mare since 2001, carrying on a tradition of excellent regional cuisine. In these years he delighted the palates of stars and politicians such as Madonna, Putin or Rania of Jordan, as well as those of regular guests that return to Portofino every year. He's so appreciated by our clients that during the winter closure he organizes private events for them at their homes around the world!
