Santo Aiosa, Restaurant Manager Chuflay |
Santo joined Orient-Express in 1988, starting as head barman at Villa San Michele and moving shortly after to Portofino, where since then he’s holding the position of Restaurant Manager at the Chuflay.
He loves travelling and getting to know this world a bit better…that's why he loves talking to clients, to understand their different cultures and traditions.
During the winter closure of the hotel he tries to travel and work in other Orient-Express hotels in the world, as well as visiting some regular clients of the Splendido to organise private dinners for them.
His entire career started with a lie, when at the age of 20 he told his mum he wanted to go to London…when she asked where London was, he said it was just after Florence….and she was glad he wouldn't go too far away! |
